Dear Ros and family, Thinking of Derek today on his birthday in a very special way. My mum often took us to London to visit her sister and family. And I particularly loved going to London as being the youngest cousin, I was always fussed over by the Fernandes siblings. I have very fond memories of Derek in the UK. I still remember Derek would go out of his way to make us happy n comfortable. He willingly drove us literally everywhere. I remember him taking us to beautiful Bath (on a very very cold day) and the gorgeous Cambridge university and his much loved library. In the later years Derek n me kept in touch thru email but once I moved to Canada I got busy with life there and unfortunately couldn’t keep in touch as much. Rest In Peace dear Derek … I am sure you are enjoying all the Heavenly stories and fairy tales! Much love Trude
