Derrick was one of my first managers, when I started working in Westminster Libraries. He created such a warm and welcoming environment for everyone. We lost touch for a while and it was lovely to catch up with him again a few years ago and hear about all the things he had been up to, about his travels and, of course, about Ros, Alex and Jonathan.
