I attended Ealing Technical College from 1973-1975 and was a very close friend of Derrick. He attended our wedding in 25 April 1978. We used to go to concerts, theatre, Cinema together. And I even went to the Hendon Hockey Club discos in the 1970s. We lost touch about 1981. I had a family of twin sons and my family responsibilities made it quite difficult to keep in touch with all our college buddies. Derrick was always bright, very helpful with our wedding preparations. I worked in Southwark Libraries and in education with ILEA and latterly at Richmond College and in international schools. I've lived in Hilkngdon for nearly 30 years and gave been retired 7 years. My very belated condolences to his lovely family. I met them many times. He was the only person I've ever known from Goa.
